Friday Features Flurry of Firsts as Falcons Fight Past Lakers

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (11-12-0, 8-7-0 CCHA) earned 5-2 victory over the Lake Superior State Lakers (3-16-2, 2-10-1 CCHA) in their first game of 2023. Salvatore Evola made his first collegiate start in net and made a career-best 28 saves to earn his first win. Ben Wozney scored his first career goal, while fellow defenseman Zach Vinnell lit the lamp for the first time as a Falcon. Quinn Emerson scored the eventual game-winner, the first of his career. Ryan O'Hara and Austen Swankler each had a pair of assists, extending their point streaks to five and 13 games, respectively.
