Former MAC champs return to BG — but as the opposition

BOWLING GREEN — The record-crunching offense that came to be known as #FalconFast will make its return Tuesday night to Doyt Perry Stadium.

This time, though, it will be operating on the visiting sideline.

Kent State’s coaching staff is filled with alumni from Bowling Green’s 2015 Mid-American Conference championship team, including head coach Sean Lewis and former Falcons quarterback Matt Johnson, now a graduate assistant for the Golden Flashes.

After two seasons as the offensive coordinator at BG, Lewis followed head coach Dino Babers to Syracuse before Kent State hired him earlier this year.
