Former BGSU quarterback James Morgan drafted by Jets

BOWLING GREEN — Former Bowling Green quarterback James Morgan became a fourth-round draft pick on Saturday when the New York Jets selected him 125th overall.

Morgan, who was the highest-rated recruit to ever sign with Bowling Green, transferred to Florida International after losing his starting job at BG and grew into a National Football League prospect.

Morgan originally committed to Bowling Green under former coach Dino Babers, and ascended to a starter in 2016, the first season for former coach Mike Jinks. Morgan started 14 games at Bowling Green across the next two seasons, but lost the role in 2017 to Jarret Doege, then a true freshman.
