BOWLING GREEN — On Jan. 15, Bowling Green played its best game of the season, a mettle-testing road win at Buffalo that showed the Falcons' potential.
During the 15 days that followed, however, Bowling Green crashed back into the standings with four straight losses, the most recent of which was an 84-66 setback to rival Toledo at the Stroh Center that was never in doubt for the Rockets.
BG has lost five of six since starting 5-0 in the Mid-American Conference, and worse yet, most of those losses haven't been close. The Falcons, who were picked to win the conference before the season, have an average margin of defeat of 15.
