Flashes Squeak Past Falcons, 27-20

KENT, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University football team gave Kent State University everything it wanted and more on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 2), but a late touchdown gave the Golden Flashes a 27-20 win. The game, the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams, was held at Dix Stadium.

The Falcons (2-3, 0-1 MAC) scored two touchdowns in the first six minutes after halftime to take a 20-13 lead, but Marquez Cooper rushed for a score to tie the game later in the third quarter, and Dustin Crum's 11-yard rush with 6:03 left in the game proved to be the winning score.
