BOWLING GREEN — Matt Fannon was named the new Bowling Green State University women’s soccer coach, the school announced Monday.
Fannon spent the past four seasons as the head women's soccer coach at Wittenberg University, where he compiled a 40-26-10 overall record, including 21-8-3 in North Coast Athletic Conference play.
Last season the Tigers went 13-5-2 overall and 7-1 in the NCAC, advancing to the tournament championship and the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
Fannon earned NCAC coach of the year honors for his efforts, and also was named the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) women's Division III coach of the year.
