BOWLING GREEN — The three incoming freshmen for Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team for the 2024-25 season won’t have to go through a get-to-know-you phase when they first arrive on campus.
The trio is already well past that point, and that could pay dividends when they step foot in the Stroh Center.
Liberty-Benton star Lauren Gerken, along with Johnea Donahue and Laila Harrison, will be reunited when they arrive at BGSU after previously playing AAU basketball together. The three standouts spent last summer playing for Always 100 out of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Gerken and Donahue also played together with the program the previous two summers.
