TOLEDO, Ohio – Nikki Sorgi's two-out, two-run single in the top of the ninth inning lifted the Bowling Green State University softball team to a 5-3 win over the University of Toledo on Tuesday afternoon (April 20). The game, the opener of a Mid-American Conference doubleheader, was held at Scott Park.
The second game was halted in the fourth inning due to deteriorating field conditions. The Rockets held a 6-1 lead in that contest, which will be completed on a date to be determined.
