BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – first-half goal lifted the Bowling Green State University women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over the University of Detroit Mercy. The non-conference match was held at Cochrane Stadium.
On Senior Day, seniors and each played 45 minutes in goal as BGSU (1-2-1) kept a clean sheet. Another senior, White, gave the Falcons the only goal they would need in the 35th minute. White redirected a cross from freshman after White's initial pass had sent Gardner down the right side of the pitch.
The Falcons had a 15-6 advantage in total shot attempts, and a 4-1 lead in shots on goal.
