BG holds Valpo without a shot on goal
The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team scored in each half, and the Falcon defense shut down Valparaiso University en route to a 2-0 win Friday evening (Aug. 30). The non-conference match, the home opener for the Falcons, was held at Cochrane Stadium.
Senior Maureen Kennedy and freshman Kennedy White scored for the Falcons (1-1-1). Kennedy knocked home the rebound after VU goalkeeper Georgia Henkel had saved her penalty kick with just under 10 minutes gone, giving BG the lead for good.
