KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team burst out of the starting gates quickly in each half Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 6), as the Falcons posted a 73-48 win at Western Michigan University.
The Falcons (8-1, 4-0 Mid-American Conference) had a lightning-quick start to each half. An early onslaught produced BGSU leads of 15-2 and 21-4 in the first quarter, and after the Broncos narrowed the Falcons' lead to eight points at the half, another quick start in the third quarter put BG firmly in control once again.
Freshman , held scoreless in the first half, scored 11 points in that third period and finished with 16 for the game.
