The game lasted only seven innings due to the league's mercy rule. BGSU won the final two games of the series to earn the weekend split in the Mid-American Conference series. The four-game set was staged at WMU's Robert J. Bobb Stadium.
Bowling Green is 9-7 on the road in conference play in 2021. With the weekend split, the Falcons improve to 9-11 within the conference.
