Ball State escaped with a 3-2 victory on Saturday (April 27) afternoon at Ball Diamond At First Merchants Ballpark Complex. The Mid-American Conference game was the middle game of the weekend series.
Ball State's Ross Messina hit a solo home run in the top of the eighth to give the Cardinals the win. The Falcons did not go quietly, however, loading the bases with only one out in the ninth.
