Senior Jennifer Reyes scored midway through the second half, lifting the Bowling Green State University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Ohio University Friday night (Nov. 2). The match, a Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinal-round contest, was held at Cochrane Stadium on the BGSU campus.
With the victory, the top-seeded Falcons (14-4-2) advance to the MAC Tournament's championship match on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 4). BGSU will meet number-two seed Ball State University. The Cardinals posted a 1-0, double-overtime victory over third-seeded Western Michigan University in Friday's first semifinal match.
The Bobcats (9-8-3), the tourney's number-four seed, see the season come to an end with the narrow loss.
