Akron, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University track and field team begins postseason competition this weekend at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. This year's meet is hosted by the University of Akron and begins with the pentathlon at 11:20 am Friday. Saturday's competition begins at 1:00 pm.
BGSU is ranked among the top three in four different events and senior is the top-ranked weight thrower. The Falcons also will be among the favorites in both relays (the 1600 relay and the distance medley relay), and the 400 with No. 3 seed .
BGSU will field the maximum of three competitors in multiple events – the 60, 200, weight throw and shot put.
