Falcons don’t measure up to Wolverines

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Bowling Green State University’s men’s hockey team was looking for answers.

With the departure of their top five contributors from the season prior, as well as their starting goaltender, questions arose about how the Falcons would replace those roles. To them, the exhibition game against Michigan served as a good measuring stick to see if the addition of three transfers and five freshmen would be the solution.

However, in the wake of a 7-1 blowout loss, more questions than answers were raised in regards to Bowling Green’s offense, defense, and goaltending concerns.

“We talked a lot as a staff about how we would treat this (game),” Bowling Green coach Ty Eigner said.
