Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team scored two first-half goals and held off a furious rally to defeat Buffalo 2-1 Friday night in the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals Friday night at Cochrane Soccer Stadium. BGSU returns to the MAC Championship for the third consecutive year, having won the MAC Tournament just one year ago.
Seeded No. 1 after winning the MAC regular season, the Falcons defeated No. 4 seed Buffalo. BGSU will face the winner of the other semifinal, which pits No. 6 seed Ohio and No. 7 seed Eastern Michigan at 7:00 pm at Cochrane Soccer Stadium.
