BOWLING GREEN — Beating Toledo twice during his Bowling Green State University tenure has been one of the most satisfying aspects of Darren Anders’ stellar football career as a Falcon.
The fifth-year senior inside linebacker and only four-year letterwinner on BGSU’s roster knows the meaning of the BGSU-Toledo showdown.
And in his opinion, the rest of his teammates understand the impact, as well. Even the recent transfers.
“I think everyone kind of already sees how big of a rivalry it is and how serious we take this,” Anders said.
With a roster that includes more than 30 transfers from the past few seasons, including more than a dozen newcomers this year and some that have already made big impacts in their first campaign for BGSU, the Falcons’ appreciation for the Battle of I-75 is high.
