BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Eric Dop of the Bowling Green State University hockey team has been voted WCHA Goaltender of the Week. This after he recorded his first career shutout making 33 saves in Bowling Green's 0-0 tie with Alaska Anchorage on Friday (Nov. 9) night.
A sophomore from Lewis Center, Ohio, Dop made 12 stops in the first period, 12 more in the second, eight in the third and one in the first overtime of the official 0-0 draw. He then kept UAA out of the net for the first 2:20 of the 3-on-3, second overtime period.
