Perrysburg, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis team saw success against Illinois-Chicago, but after the Flames were extinguished in doubles play they rallied back in singles to win the match 4-3 Saturday. The non-conference dual was held at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.
The Falcons opened the match by winning two out of three doubles matches to earn the first point of the afternoon.
At No. 1 doubles, freshman Paula Comella Aguilo and senior Drew Fillis took down Oana Manole and Rachel Le Comber in a nail biter. The Flames took an early lead over Aguilo and Fillis, leading the match 3-1.
