KENT, Ohio — Bowling Green's first losing streak in Mid-American Conference has arrived at the exact wrong time.
The Falcons, who are chasing the No. 1 seed in the MAC tournament, dropped their second straight game because of shaky defense, losing 83-69 on Tuesday at Kent State.
BG trailed by at least six points for the duration of the second half at the M.A.C. Center and, after giving up 40 points in the paint in its previous loss at Miami, BG allowed even more Tuesday as Kent scored 48 in the paint.
“We weren't tough. We weren't very tough tonight,” Bowling Green coach Michael Huger said.
