BOWLING GREEN — Connor Bazelak will start quarterback for Bowling Green State University’s Mid-American Conference football opener vs. Ohio on Saturday at Doyt Perry Stadium.
Bazelak missed last week’s 31-6 loss at No. 2 Michigan. The Falcons’ senior had a wrap and a brace on his right leg and was limited in warmups; BGSU coach Scot Loeffler declined to disclose Bazelak’s injury, but said he suffered it late in the Falcons’ win against Eastern Illinois on Sept. 9.
Bazelak, a transfer for Indiana who also spent three seasons at Missouri, has thrown for 390 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions on 59.
