Broden has become go-to deep threat for Bowling Green football

BOWLING GREEN — Tyrone Broden is giving Bowling Green’s football team something it didn’t have last year.

The 6-foot-4 sophomore has helped open the passing game for quarterback Matt McDonald. With Austin Osborne operating underneath as the team’s primary possession receiver, Broden has taken opportunities to go downfield and make plays.

Through the first half of the season, he has seized that role as the Falcons’ go-to deep man.

“I’m just playing my part,” Broden said. “When the ball comes to me, I just do what I have to do and make some plays. Me and Matt do it in practice every day, so when we get to the game, it’s easy, and it’s like practice.
