Bowling Green's running backs starting to pick up pace

AMHERST, N.Y. — It took a while for Bowling Green State University’s running back room to get going, but it’s better late than never.

When the Falcons took the field for their Week 6 contest against Akron, they brought forward the worst rushing attack in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision at 47.2 yards per game. Bowling Green got out of the basement with 107 yards against the Zips, and things have only looked up from that point. While that wasn’t a record-breaking performance by any stretch, it was the highest total rushing yards for the Falcons against FBS opponents this season.
