BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University forward Ryan O’Hara was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Week for games played through Saturday, the league announced Monday.
O’Hara scored the go-ahead goal in the third period of Saturday’s 4-2 victory over No. 14 Michigan Tech. O’Hara has scored three goals this season — two in his past five games. All three of his goals have been scored on the road. The recognition is his first CCHA honor of the season.
Bowling Green will face Northern Michigan on Friday and Saturday with 7:07 p.m. puck drops each night.
