BOWLING GREEN — Elissa Brett had 20 points as the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team topped Northern Illinois 81-52 on Wednesday night at the Stroh Center.
With the win, Bowling Green moves to 11-9 overall and 6-5 in the Mid-American Conference. The Falcons bounced back from a 91-80 defeat at Ball State on Saturday.
Morgan Sharps and Kadie Hempfling had 11 points each for Bowling Green. Hempfling added a team-high 10 rebounds.
Janae Poisson and A'Jah Davis paced Northern Illinois with 12 points each.
Bowling Green was sharp from the start, racing out to a 25-16 lead after one quarter, and adding on a 20-11 edge in the second quarter on the way to a 45-27 halftime lead.
