BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University women’s basketball guard Kenzie Lewis has announced her retirement via her Instagram page.
She said she is stepping away from basketball to prioritize her mental health.
“My favorite part about my journey is that I can say this with both a heavy and completely full heart,” Lewis wrote. “I have decided that the last game of this season was the right time to hang up my jersey for good. Looking back at all of the memories, relationships, and unforgettable moments, I can truly say that I am so proud of everything I have given to this game and am so grateful for everything it has given back to me.
