BOWLING GREEN — A strong 21-6 fourth-quarter advantage enabled Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team to separate from Western Michigan in a 77-53 Mid-American Conference victory at the Stroh Center on Wednesday.
Elissa Brett scored 17 points and collected eight rebounds to lead Bowling Green (12-3, 8-2 MAC). Lexi Fleming followed with 15 points, and Nyla Hampton posted 12 points.
Angela Perry netted 11 points off the bench for the Falcons, which shot 52.6 percent (30 of 57) from the field for the contest.
Sydney Shafer scored a game-high 18 points for Western Michigan (2-9, 1-8 MAC).
