ATHENS, Ohio — Ohio University jumped out to a 16-point halftime lead and went on to defeat Bowling Green State University 85-70 in a Mid-American Conference women’s basketball game at the Convocation Center on Saturday.
Cece Hooks had a game-high 27 points for the Bobcats (9-5, 3-2 MAC), becoming the MAC’s all-time leading scorer.
Gabby Burris had 21 points for Ohio.
Kadie Hempfling led the Falcons (7-7, 2-3 MAC) with 21 points, one shy of matching her career best.
The Bobcats took a 21-15 lead after the first quarter, shooting 53 percent from the field, including 4 of 9 on 3-pointers.
