ELIZABETH, Pa. — Chase Whatton loves to go bowling when he has the time.
“I can put up a 170 or 180 game,” he said.
His favorite color is green.
“Olive green and emerald green,” he added.
So in a way, it should have come as no surprise which school the Elizabeth Forward (Pa.) standout senior defensive end chose recently.
Whatton picked Bowling Green over a list of more than 30 FBS and FCS offers. And while bowling or his favorite color had nothing to do with his decision, the relationship he has built with second-year coach Scot Loeffler and his staff played a huge part in him picking the Mid-American Conference school.
