A career-high 22 points from Morgan Sharps helped Bowling Green State University to an 82-61 routing over Furman in the first game of the Women’s Basketball Invitational on Friday.
Sharps made 8 of 16 from the field and 6 of 13 3-pointers, which tied a school record for 3-pointers made in a single game. Her previous career high was 21 points, which was scored at Ohio State earlier in the season. She scored 14 in the second half on 5 of 8 shooting and 4 of 7 3s.
Bowling Green roared back from a 13-5 deficit to tie it at 13 on a Jocelyn Tate fast-break layup and one, and the free throw gave BGSU the lead with 2:52 to play in the first quarter.
