Bowling Green still few executed plays per game away from consistency

DeKALB, Ill. — It took two missed touchdown catches and a kick-six for momentum to swing.

In recent years, it would have been many more of those plays that would add up, but in Bowling Green’s 34-26 loss to Northern Illinois, the closing moments of the first half are what brought the Falcons down significantly on the scoreboard.

The next step in BGSU’s development as a team is to make more plays like those go their way.

“What’s occurring is during the week ... there’s not elite effort, there’s not elite urgency,” Falcons head coach Scot Loeffler said.
