Bowling Green could be bowling again.
The Falcons jumped out to a 21-0 lead, warded off repeated charges from Toledo, and got a game-winning score from senior quarterback Matt McDonald to sophomore running back Ta’Ron Keith to beat the Rockets 42-35 in the Battle of I-75 on Tuesday night at the Glass Bowl.
It marked their sixth win of the season, Bowling Green’s first time reaching the threshold since the Falcons won the MAC title in 2015.
After three punts on the first three drives between the two teams in a steady snowfall, Bowling Green broke through with a 25-yard strike from McDonald to senior wide receiver Odieu Hiliare.
