Bowling Green men's basketball nearing full health ahead of final tuneup

BOWLING GREEN — Thursday’s exhibition game won’t feature every possible player for Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team, but the team is nearly 100 percent of the way there.

The Falcons take the court for a final tuneup against Fairmont State, and a few players will be missing from the lineup, including forward Matiss Kulackovskis, who missed time with an undisclosed injury.

Coach Michael Huger said there’s no reason to fret.

“We have everybody back,” Huger said at Wednesday’s Mid-American Conference coaches media day. “Matiss has been practicing, and now going up and down. I don’t think I’ll play him, but he’s making great progress of getting up and down and moving and looks really good and shooting the ball extremely well for a guy who’s been out for as long as he has.
