BOWLING GREEN — Sam Towns recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team defeated Chicago State 76-55 on Tuesday at the Stroh Center.
The Falcons (8-3) held Chicago State (2-10) to 29.3 percent shooting (17 of 58) while making 50.9 percent of their shots (28 of 55).
Bowling Green, which never trailed, led 40-28 at halftime. Chicago State did close a 15-point gap down to eight with 6:32 to go by going on a 7-0 run that included a 3-pointer by Doyel Cockrill III, but the Falcons closed things out with a 16-5 run in which they hit three 3-pointers.
