BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Samari Curtis, the 2019 Mr. Basketball Award winner in the state of Ohio in 2019, has joined the Bowling Green State University men's basketball program. Curtis is transferring to BGSU from the University of Evansville. The native of Xenia, Ohio averaged 10.1 points per game for the Purple Aces during the 2020-21 season.
Curtis, a four-star recruit by ESPN coming out of high school, began his collegiate career at the University of Nebraska, where he played in eight games for the Huskers as a freshman. The 6-foot-4 guard has multiple years of eligibility remaining.
