BOWLING GREEN — For Bowling Green, the Mid-American Conference tournament always has come with scar tissue.
The Falcons’ MAC tournament history is one of bad nights and broken hearts, with a constant reminder in the rafters of the Stroh Center. BGSU conducts practices under a banner representing its last men’s NCAA tournament berth, in 1968, a flummoxing 51-year drought that has spanned nearly half the life of the program itself.
“I look up and I see that every single day when I come in here: 1968,” Bowling Green coach Michael Huger said. “It’s been a long time.
