ERIE, Pa. — Tim Theocharidis notched his first career multi-goal effort to help the Bowling Green State University hockey team to a 3-1 win over Mercyhurst on Sunday to split the weekend series.
With the win, the Falcons move to 4-1 on the season, while Mercyhurst drops to 1-1.
Theocharidis opened the scoring with slightly less than four minutes remaining in the opening period as he netted his second goal of the season on assists from T.J. Lloyd and Max Johnson.
The duo of Theocharidis and Lloyd connected on a goal again in the second period with Theocharidis netting the goal and Lloyd assisting once again.
