Bowling Green hockey clinging to No. 4 seed as regular season winds down

BOWLING GREEN — The race is on for the postseason.

Bowling Green State University is clinging to the No. 4 seed in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association postseason picture, which is the final spot in order to host a home playoff series in the league tournament. The Falcons have 30 points and retained their positioning despite being swept by No. 1-ranked Minnesota State last weekend.

The Falcons (13-12-3 overall, 10-9-1 CCHA) have a four-point lead over Northern Michigan (9-12-1 CCHA), which is idle this weekend and treks to Bowling Green for a pivotal series on Feb. 19 and 20.
