Bowling Green hockey allows three first-period goals, falls 4-1 at Augustana (S.D.)

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Bowling Green State University’s men’s hockey team surrendered three goals in the first 12 minutes and fell 4-1 to Augustana University on Saturday at Midco Arena.

The Falcons fell to 1-3 overall, having lost 3-2 at Augustana (2-2) on Saturday.

On Sunday, Uula Ruikka (5:05 mark), Hunter Bischoff (9:56), and Brady Ziemer scored past BGSU goalkeeper Cole Moore in the first period. Moore (26 saves) also allowed a third-period goal to Brett Meerman.

Ryan O’Hara scored his first goal of the season for Bowling Green midway through the second period, assisted by Michael Bevilacqua.
