BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University Department of Athletics has approved the return of Falcons’ football players to campus beginning June 22, the school announced Friday.
The Bowling Green coaching staff will return to campus in a limited capacity on Monday, a week ahead of the student-athletes.
The return of football players is part of the phased-in approach for Bowling Green students, faculty, and staff members and once the first-phase of off-campus football players’ return to campus is successful, the school will move on to the next phases.
The Toledo football team, meanwhile, returned to campus this past Monday and has taken part in voluntary workouts at the Larimer Athletic Complex with strict social distancing guidelines including a limit of 10 people in the weight room at a time.
