Bowling Green ends season on high note with rout of UMass

AMHERST, Mass. — Austyn Dendy’s three-touchdown performance helped the Bowling Green State University football team snap a five-game losing streak Tuesday as the Falcons routed winless Massachusetts 45-14 to finish the regular season.

Bowling Green finishes its first season under head coach Eddie George with an overall record of 4-8 and a 2-6 mark in the Mid-American Conference.

Dendy ran for 115 yards and two scores, and added an 11-yard touchdown catch to lead BG’s offense.

The Falcons only attempted nine passes in the victory, as the ground game dominated to the tune of 278 yards on 5.
