BOWLING GREEN — The season might have just started for Bowling Green, but the Falcons already will have their first chance under the national microscope.
Bowling Green goes directly from its season opener Tuesday to a road game Friday against a top 25 team, a trying environment in which the Falcons hope to show they can compete. The Falcons are headed south to play No. 22 Louisiana State, the defending Southeastern Conference regular season champion and a Sweet 16 qualifier last year.
Early in a season with high hopes at BGSU — Mid-American Conference coaches chose the Falcons as the league favorite — the Falcons see a chance to show they belong with a team like LSU.
