The stakes were big for late-season games between Mid-American Conference contenders.
The audience was big, particularly when the Bulls were ranked during the 2019 meeting, a BG upset on national television.
And the energy was big, as packed crowds in the Stroh Center watched the Falcons play against what has been the MAC's best program in recent years.
The upcoming meeting on Sunday — like it or not — is going to be different.
But if there is one truth that MAC veterans have learned, its that the early conference games have a way of feeling more important near the end of the regular season.
