Big plays lead Bowling Green to wild 56-44 win at Buffalo

AMHERST, N.Y. — Did you think the mayhem affectionately known as “MACtion” was going to start in the middle of this week?

Think again, because Bowling Green and Buffalo got the party started a few days early.

Saturday’s football game at UB Stadium had a little bit of everything. Moments within the many big plays that resulted in 100 combined points, 983 combined yards, and a 56-44 Falcons victory over the Bulls showed why Mid-American Conference football truly is its own breed.

Bowling Green won despite getting flagged for 15 penalties that added up to 177 yards, and the Falcons lost head coach Scot Loeffler due to an ejection early in the second half.
