MADISON, Wisc. — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team ventured into Big Ten country on Wednesday where the Falcons suffered a 90-78 defeat against Wisconsin at the Kohl Center.
A 7-0 run for the Badgers near the end of the third quarter helped the hosts reclaim a double-digit advantage. Shay Bollin’s 3-pointer, plus layups by Dorja Iva Zaja and Nikki Kerstein made it 64-53 Wisconsin with 1:26 left in the quarter.
BGSU got a Paige Kohler 3-pointer, while Destiny Howell recorded a deuce for the Badgers, making the difference 10 (66-56) after three. Wisconsin led by as many as 17 in the fourth quarter.
