BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team held off Purdue Fort Wayne for a 56-53 win Sunday in a back-and-forth affair.
Paige Kohler made a pair of free throws with 55 seconds left to give the Falcons a one-point lead. Johnea Donahue sunk two more free throws in the final seconds before a Mastodons turnover sealed the deal.
Kohler led Bowling Green with 15 points, Donahue netted 12 points with five rebounds and five assists, and Liberty-Benton graduate Lauren Gerken pitched in with eight points and six boards.
Alana Nelson and Lili Krasovec each scored 13 points for Purdue Fort Wayne.
