MILWAUKEE — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team played Marquette close for one half, but couldn’t keep pace for the entire game as the Falcons fell 71-55 on the road Friday.
BG trailed by just two at halftime, but the Golden Eagles pulled away in the second half thanks to a stifling defensive performance.
Johnea Donahue was Bowling Green’s leading scorer with 16 points, the only Falcon to score in double-figures. Paige Kohler and Kaia Woods finished with seven points apiece.
Marquette’s Lee Volker scored a game-high 23 points while Halle Vice chipped in with 18.
