The Bowling Green State University women’s volleyball team defeated Toledo 3-1 Saturday at Savage Arena.
The Rockets took the first set 25-19 and lost the second, third, and fourth sets by a score of 25-23, 25-22, and 26-24. UT had a set point in the fourth and couldn’t capitalize.
“I didn’t want us to go into the fifth set playing Toledo on their homecourt,” BGSU coach Danijela Tomic said. “The momentum shift in our sport is huge. Before the fourth set, I told our team, ‘Let’s just give everything here.’”
BGSU outside hitter Petra Indrova led the Falcons with 19 kills (21 total points), setter Jaden Walz had a match-high 46 assists, and middle blocker Madelynn Luebcke had five blocks.
