Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University hockey team has been ranked No. 17 in this week's first official USCHO poll of the 2019-20 season. This is the first time the Falcons have been ranked in the preseason poll since prior to the 2016-17 season (No. 14).
The BGSU hockey program went 25-11-5 in 2018-19, earning its fifth consecutive 20-win season, advancing to the WCHA championship game for the second time in three years, and punching their ticket to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 29 seasons.
Bowling Green has been voted to finish second overall in both the 2019-20 Mankato Free Press WCHA Preseason Coaches' Poll, and the 2019-20 WCHA Preseason Media Poll.
